FDR was the greatest president of the USA

Why does FDR get such a bad press from the right wing in the USA. He ended the depression. He won WW2, won 4 elections and did all that in a wheelchair.
We are all ways told by Americans to be grateful for them winning WW2 yet the same people expect us to hate FDR. How do they work that one out? If the UK is supposed to be grateful to the USA for WW2 then why do we not thank the memory of FDR rather than see right wingers taking the credit for his decisions.
There are still American right "wingers" today who hate FDR and try and claim he did not end the depression. In reality the great depression was two depressions. 1929 -33 and another smaller one in the late thirties which ended well before WW2.
The right wing always make the excuse that only WW2 ended the great depression this is rubbish economic growth in the USA was rising before WW2.
The fact the thirties have been labelled as the great depression shows right wing bias over history it is an an attempt to pretend the depression lasted all of FDR reign.
There is well known myth spread by right wing people that the depression started well after the stock market crash. This is rubbish the depression started almost immediately after the 1929 wall street crash. Herbert Hoover had a massive economic depression which lasted his entire right wing presidency. The left wing took over and sorted it out. Look at the GDP growth figures and unemployment rates for the era.
The depression lasted 1929 -33 not through the entire 30s. It was socialist ideas that stopped the depression, yet right wing historians have used very clever tricks to hide this lesson from history.
The myth of the "1930s long depression" rather than the 1929 - 33 depression is one very clever trick by the right to actually blame the depression on FDR.
Another trick they play is to claim the depression only stopped when WW2 started. Well that is rubbish the depression had stopped well before then.
It shows history is written by the winners.
Plus FDR turned the USA into the number one world superpower. On any geopolitical nationalist basis Americans should see FDR as their greatest president.
Yet he does not get any of the credit he deserves. Reagan gets credit for winning the cold war, but FDR beat Hitler, Japan, and made the USA number one superpower.
Obama should big himself up as the new FDR. It is only biased traitors to the USA who do not see what a great American leader FDR was.
I hope Obama can do a good speech like FDR did on his inauguration.
